NZ World Latin Dance Cup 2016
Sweet Azucar! Latin Dance walks away with pride from the NZ World Latin Dance Cup!
The Sweet Azucar! Salsa Team received a 1st place trophy for their performance in the Salsa Non Cabaret Division. This means that the team goes straight into the semi-finals at the World Latin Dance Cup in Miami this December 2016!!!
Then.... despite a costume malfunction (yes, it happens to the best of us!), the Cha Cha Team walked away with 2nd place in the Open Latin Teams Division.
Liz Parsons (aka Mamma Bear) said she was VERY PROUD of all her teams. She said that, despite a super slippery floor, the teams each performed their best performances yet. WELL DONE EVERYONE and special thanks to Alex Bryan for his choreography for the Cha Cha team and Sonia Hems (aka Sonia Sass) for her 'fine-tuning'.
Official high quality videos are not yet available, but footage is available to view on the NZ World Latin Dance Cup website. The Salsa Team's performance is at 15:10min and the Cha Cha Cha Team's performance is at 32:14min.
